Georgian Academy of Natural Sciences

History

Georgian Academy of Natural Sciences established in 1994 in Tbilisi capital of Georgia by the prominent naturalists, mathematicians and physicists with the aim to improve research and development activities in Georgia and the whole region.

The Academy was established as legal non-governmental and non-profit entity under the Georgian law.

Academician, Professor, well known naturalist Teimuraz Ioseliani was elected as the first president of the Academy (passed away).

Famous mathematician, Professor, Academician David Gordeziani was elected as the second president of the Academy (passed away).

At 2009, the physicist, Professor Paata Kervalishvili elected as president of the Academy.


According the mission of the Academy it organized science and technology conferences, seminars, meetings and other events connected to scientific research and development.

The Academy performs the local and international programs and projects.

The Academy publishes the conference proceeding, books and other editions including electronic and printed bulletin under the name GANS - Nova Acta.

The Academy organizes the relevant procedure and awards the scientific degree of Grand PhD in different disciplines of Science and Engineering.

The Academy has worldwide relationship and agreements with well-known research organizations of the globe and other distinguished societies.

The Academy rules by the governing board including president, vice-presidents, the chief academician secretary and leaders of Academy orders.

The orders of the Academy are:

The Academy includes the council of the prominent scientists and public figures.
